DGII electronic invoicing

Electronic invoicing fromthe system you already use.

We connect your ERP, CRM or custom system to the DGII electronic invoicing system, so every invoice goes out as an e-CF without changing how your team works. We do it through a DGII-certified electronic invoicing provider, or we help you certify your own software.

What e-CF is

e-CF, explained
plainly.

An e-CF (comprobante fiscal electrónico) is the Dominican Republic’s electronic invoice: a digitally signed XML file that your system sends to the DGII, which validates it and answers whether it was accepted. It replaces the paper “B” series receipts, and Law 32-23 on Electronic Invoicing makes it mandatory for every taxpayer.

Altamar is not an electronic invoicing service provider: we are the software team that connects your system to one. We work with DGII-certified providers, or build the direct integration with the DGII services when you would rather certify your own software, and we make sure your ERP or CRM creates, sends and tracks every e-CF.

What we do

Your system,
connected to the DGII.

Electronic invoicing

From your ERP
to the DGII

Every invoice your system already creates is turned into a signed e-CF, sent and tracked until the DGII accepts it.

  1. Your ERP / CRM
  2. Signed XML
  3. Dirección General de Impuestos Internos (DGII)

The DGII logo only identifies the service the integration connects to. Altamar is not affiliated with or certified by the DGII.

Integrations and APIs

Connected to the tools you already run

Accounting, payments, messaging and spreadsheets, synced both ways so nobody types data twice.

  • ERP and CRM integration

Odoo, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify or a custom system: invoices go out as e-CF from where they are already created.

  • Mapping to the e-CF format

Each invoice’s data (RNC, ITBIS, income type, payment method) mapped to the DGII XML for the types you use: 31, 32, 33, 34 and the rest.

  • DGII certification

We prepare the test set, the simulation and the printed version with its QR and security code, and guide you through the Oficina Virtual steps.

  • Tracking and rejections

Every e-CF keeps its TrackId and status. If the DGII rejects one or it stays in process, the system alerts and retries, with a contingency plan for outages.

When it fits

This is for you if:

  • You already invoice from an ERP, CRM or your own system and do not want to type every invoice again in another portal.
  • Your DGII date is close (1 and 15 November 2026) and your system still issues “B” series receipts.
  • Your electronic invoicing provider has an API, but nobody has connected it to your system.
  • You issue many invoices, several e-CF types, or from several branches and points of sale.

How we do it

Five steps from
the B series to e-CF.

Every integration has a written scope with a fixed price and dates. The dates depend on your system and the route you choose, and you get them before work starts.

  1. Assessment

We review your system, the receipt types you use and your volume, and pick the route: certified provider, your own software or, when it is enough, the free DGII invoicing tool.

  2. Mapping

Every field on your invoices, credit and debit notes mapped to the e-CF format, with your ITBIS, discount and currency rules.

  3. Integration

Your ERP or CRM connected to the provider’s API or to the DGII services: signing, sending, TrackId, status checks and commercial approvals.

  4. Certification

With a provider, they handle the certification and we get your system ready for it. With your own software, we run the test set, simulation and printed-version review with you.

  5. Go live and support

We go live, watch for rejections and keep the integration up to date with DGII changes.

FAQ

Common questions

All questions
What is an e-CF?

An e-CF (comprobante fiscal electrónico) is the Dominican electronic invoice: a signed XML document sent to the DGII, identified by a 13-character e-NCF (E, the two-digit type and a ten-digit sequence). The DGII answers with a status: accepted, conditionally accepted, rejected or in process.

Is Altamar a DGII-authorized provider?

No. Altamar is a software development company that integrates systems with electronic invoicing. The DGII certifies the Proveedores de Servicios de Facturación Electrónica (it cited about 190 in 2026); we connect your ERP or CRM to one of them, or to the DGII services directly if you certify your own software. The official list is on the DGII website.

When is electronic invoicing mandatory in the Dominican Republic?

Law 32-23 set deadlines by taxpayer size. Large national taxpayers already issue only e-CF. Large local and medium taxpayers must issue only e-CF from 1 November 2026 (DGII Aviso 14-26), and small, micro and unclassified taxpayers have until 15 November 2026 after the extension in Aviso 06-26.

Related Deadlines in detail

What types of e-CF are there?

Ten, each with its own two-digit code:

  • 31 Tax credit invoice
  • 32 Consumer invoice
  • 33 Debit note
  • 34 Credit note
  • 41 Purchases
  • 43 Minor expenses
  • 44 Special regimes
  • 45 Government
  • 46 Exports
  • 47 Payments abroad
Can I keep my current ERP or CRM?

Yes, that is the point. Invoices keep being created where your team creates them today, and the integration turns them into e-CF, sends them and writes the DGII status back to each invoice. We only suggest changing systems when the current one cannot be connected at all.

Do I need a provider, or can I certify my own software?

There are three routes. A certified provider handles the signing, sending and certification, and we connect your system to its API: the quickest route for most companies. Certifying your own software means building the integration with the DGII services and passing the certification yourself: more work, no per-invoice fees. And if you issue few invoices, the DGII’s free invoicing tool (Facturador Gratuito) may be enough; we will tell you on the first call.

What do I need to get started?

An active RNC, access to the DGII Oficina Virtual, a digital certificate for tax procedures for the person who represents the company (issued in the country by entities such as Avansi or the Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce) and being up to date with your taxes. We help you with the rest.

How much does it cost?

The integration has a fixed price, set in a written scope after the assessment. The provider’s fees, if you use one, are paid to the provider. A 30-minute call is the quickest way to get a number.
